The Mountain’s Continuation School
Mountain Continuation School believes each child is unique and offers a wide range of curricular studies. In 2004 this continuation high school earned a six year accreditation from the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. Mountain employs skilled staff devoted to helping students succeed and this shows in the NRT and CST yearly statistics. Parents are encouraged to participate in teams and events and all graduating seniors must complete 15 hours of community service along with a portfolio project. Mountain High is also a participant in the 9 -12 TUPE Grant and the tobacco curriculum is integrated into all subject areas covered by this school. Mountain High enforces a strict school safety plan along with attendance
and discipline policies. There are a small number of clubs that students
can join and homework is deemed to be a fundamental part of the learning
process. Mountain High’s mission statement is to create an atmosphere of support, warmth, interest, and order within the school so that each and every student can realize their own potential both academically and socially.
