Wildhaven Offers Sanctuary to Lake Arrowhead’s Wildlife Run by the San Bernardino Mountains Wildlife Society Wildhaven Ranch was created in 1994 and offers sanctuary to endangered and indigenous wildlife. Wildhaven Ranch is a non-profit organization and consists not only of an animal sanctuary but an education and visitors center also. Wildhaven Ranch is situated on 35 acres of Lake Arrowhead real estate in the community of Cedar Glen and was also among much of the Lake Arrowhead property that was devastated by the 2003 “Old Fire”. Thanks to staff and volunteers this Lake Arrowhead ranch is once again full functioning and plans to expand. At Wildhaven Ranch the wildlife of Lake Arrowhead have a safe and protective environment where they are nurtured and rehabilitated before being released back into the wild. For wildlife that cannot be rehabilitated Wildhaven Ranch offers them a home where they can live out their lives safely. These permanent residents give visitors to this Lake Arrowhead Ranch the opportunity to observe native wildlife in their own mountain environment. Wildhaven believes in protecting and preserving the earth’s wild creatures and in doing so has created a haven where wildlife can have sanctuary and visitors and tourists can learn to appreciate these creatures.
