Property in the Arrowhead Woods
As
mentioned in our Lake Arrowhead
real estate investments article, property in the Arrowhead Woods is
worth more than property in the surrounding communities of Lake Arrowhead.
This is because only Lake Arrowhead properties in the Arrowhead Woods
have lake rights. Possessing lake rights is necessary if you want to purchase
a dock or use the lake to boat or fish.
There are a few other reasons that property in the Arrowhead Woods is
more valuable. An architectural committee, for example, must approve your
house plans before you may begin building or remodeling your home. Your

Commercial Property in Blue Jay
Aside from the Lake Arrowhead Village, which is located in the Arrowhead
Woods, the other shopping capital of Lake Arrowhead is Blue Jay. The Blue
Jay Cinema movie theater, Jensens grocery store, Rite Aid, McDonalds,
and many specialty boutiques and restaurants reside in this historic region
of Lake Arrowhead. Property in Blue Jay is mostly commercial. This property
is not located in the Arrowhead Woods.
Rim Forest: A room with a view!
Rim Forest is known for it's magnificent view of the Inland Empire. Rim
Forest is located near Highway 18 and many houses in Rim Forest sit on
or near the edge of the mountain overlooking the cities below. Spectacular
views are found on a clear day or night when you can see clear to Catalina
Island! These properties are not considered part of the Arrowhead Woods.
Cedar Glen: Rebuilding
Located on the east side of Lake Arrowhead, by the dam, is Cedar Glen.
Sadly, many properties in Cedar Glen were lost in the "Old Fire"
of 2003. However, rebuilding began almost immediately after the fires
and many mountain charmers can be found this wooded area. Also located
in Cedar Glen are the Happy Face Malt Shop and the historic Chef's Inn
which was built in the late 1800's!
Horse Property in Deer Lodge Park
If you're looking for horse
property in Lake Arrowhead then you might consider starting with Deer
Lodge Park. Although not a part of the Arrowhead Woods, this darling country
neighborhood is located on the far northwestern side of Lake Arrowhead
and many vacant properties still exist for building. Another good neighborhood
for horse property is the Alberta/Manitoba area located in the Arrowhead
Woods on the northeastern side of Lake Arrowhead.
Twin Peaks: Charming homes,
great commuter locations!
Located in the southwestern
part of Lake Arrowhead is Twin Peaks. The County Courthouse and Sherrif's
Station are located in Twin Peaks, which is a charming little village
and an excellent commuter location.
