From Kindergarten to Grade 6 in Lake Arrowhead
In both 1998 and 2002 Grandview Elementary was recognized as a California distinguished school. Grandview Elementary encourages learning through the use of computers and interactive media and firmly believes in providing a learning environment that nurtures students allowing them to develop critical thinking and problem solving skills. Parents of students attending the Grandview school in Lake Arrowhead are encouraged to be actively involved by participating in school committees. Grandview has a strict school safety plan that is reviewed annually. Grandview Elementary teaches “Character Counts” and this includes the practice of six character pillars and daily activities involving these pillars are scheduled. Attendances are monitored and recognition is given to students with perfect attendance records. The Grandview school uses STAR, CST and NRT tests to evaluate student progress and API data has also shown that this Lake Arrowhead school’s results have increased yearly.
