AWAC: Preserving Arrowhead WoodsThis article contains valuable Lake Arrowhead AWAC information that all Lake Arrowhead residents should be aware of. The Arrowhead Woods Architectural Committee was formed in 1923 to preserve the character of Arrowhead Woods which is considered some of the best Lake Arrowhead real estate. AWAC's mission is to preserve the value of all Arrowhead Woods property via preserving it’s aesthetic value. This is accomplished by enforcing the CC&Rs – regulating tree trimming and removal in the Arrowhead Woods and proposed plans for Arrowhead Woods houses, garages and other structures. CC&R’s, or “Covenants, Conditions and Restrictions” are what a sub-divider files with the county when a sub-division is complete. Restrictions include private road easements, utility easements, minimum house size, building setbacks, tree trimming and cutting standards and other limitations intended to keep harmonious aesthetics in the Arrowhead Woods intact. AWAC, a California Nonprofit Mutual Benefit Corporation, consists of
nine members who represent all property owners in the Arrowhead Woods.
They have a meeting every other Tuesday. The meetings begin at 10am and
