Tree Planting In Lake Arrowhead
The Forest Committee also helps residents in defining and planning a defensible space around their Lake Arrowhead property. The Forest Committee is also focusing their attention on replanting native species and on the bark beetle status. Last year the Forest Committee in Lake Arrowhead planted over 250 seedlings on the meadow that lies east of Tavern Bay and the committee is also in the process of designating two planting areas specifically for native species. These designated areas will be located at Burnt Mill Beach Club and in Tavern Bay. The Forest Committee along with the Arrowhead Lake Association has partnered with the Mountain Rim Fire Safety Council and the San Bernardino National Forest Association and has prepared a mountain wide planting brochure. A donation of over 100 native tree seedlings was made to the Lake Arrowhead Elementary School for planting on their recreational grounds. The Forest Planning Committees resources are available to Arrowhead Woods residents and lake front members who wish to landscape their property. Before any work is carried out it is important that you contact the Forest Committee so that they may assess the plans. Further information can be obtained by contacting the Arrowhead Lake Association. Other popular Arrowhead searches... |
