Arrowhead boating rules are there for your safety and are enforced rigorously.

Listed below are some of the main rules to be observed whilst boating
on Lake Arrowhead.

- All boats must be launched from the Arrowhead
Lake Association marina.
- Boats are 12” to 26” maximum and must be registered displaying
current stickers on both sides of the bow.
- A current ALA sticker must also be displayed on the starboard bow
or mast.
- You must be 16 or over with a boat operators certificate, although
persons over 10 who have passed the Arrowhead Lake Association test
can operate a boat. But they must not exceed 10MPH.
- Boat owners are responsible for the safe operation of their boat and
must have a DMV registration and ALA boat operator’s certificate.
- Boats are not allowed in the lake overnight unless at the owners slip
or in a rented slip that has been recorded by Arrowhead Lake Association.

Other rules and regulations that you will find on Lake Arrowhead include
speed limits.
- Between 7am and sunset the maximum speed on the lake is 35 MPH
- Sunset to 7am the maximum speed is 10 MPH
- Between buoy and the shore your speed should be less than 5MPH.
- The traffic pattern for all boats is counter clockwise.
